Mitchan's Okonomiyaki, Hiroshima

Eating okonomiyaki in hiroshima style is one of our to do list during our trip. Our original plan was to visit Okonomimura but we were too tired to walk so we decide to check out the restaurant near our hotel.



The location of our hotel is very closed to JR Hiroshima. It is quite convenient for us to have dinner at the restaurant inside the train station. There are couple places where you can get okonomiyaki. After we checked out their menus, we noticed that one of them is the one that was on our initial plan. We have no idea that Mitchan has a branch at JR Hiroshima.



There are a long list of okonomiyaki dishes with different ingredients or you can choose to add more ingredients if they were not offered on the menu (of course with extra charges). That is exactly what we are going to do. We chose no.16 with oysters (kaki) since hiroshima's oyster is one of the best oyster offered in Japan.



They put a fair amount of oysters in our dish. The noodle was stir fried until it was crispy on the outside as well as the bacon. The okonomiyaki sauce tastes very delicious. The sauce is so tasty and not too sweet. We like to eat okonomiyaki with lots of mayo, which go very well with the original sauce.
